ok, but...

How do I get a password protection for this app? I Couldnt find where/how to do that, the app opens without a password.

Had a look for some easy logbook tools and found MOAppsDiary. Its fast, simple and offers custom storage path so you could sync with iDisk or even better with Dropbox. If youre looking for a small and simple app for your daily notes … buy it.

I bought this app and was a little disappointed. positive aspects are that it looks nice and elegant just as it was previewed. It is simple and has all the main function. I would give it 4 stars, if this was communicated in the first place. But if you just look at the website and the app you get the impression that it works differently than it does. negative is - that the tag-cloud, which was my main reason to buy this app is totally useless. I thought it to be very interesting to see, which themes are dominant in my life and how they visibly grow or shrink over time. First it does not automatically count words, so you have to decide which words are worth being tags. Of course, thinking about it, this makes sense as there is no way to programm a tagcloud intelligent enough to differentiate between tags such as fmaily thankful thought and tags such as a so and in all languages! But then, once you have decided on some tags, they are not counted so each time, you write an entry, you have to copy and paste them again into the tagline. - also, if the localisation does not work, an error report is terrorising you the whole day. "The operation couldn’t be completed. (kCLErrorDomain error 1.)" until you switch the app on and off. If these two points could be ameliorated though it would be a very nice app!

I love this app. I was looking for a simple to use journal app that I could use to just write on the run. I can close my computer any time, and open up again to where I left off. The app autodates my work, is simple to use and easy to find old entries. The desktop is fresh and clutter free, like opening a new page in an old diary. thanks for creating it!

This app is good for its purpose - as a diary! It locks automatically when you go to a different window for a while, and you can tag stuff! I thought that was pretty cool. Get this if you arent a person who keeps a paper journal super well - I can never find the time to update a handwritten journal, but with the app on my Macbook, I can just add stuff whenever I want! I just wish that it had a few more features, espcially for the $6 I paid for it! Theres no text formatting, not even basic bolding and italicizing. A word count would be nice (and having the option to order the diary entries by length would be awesome!). Even just some different themes to the app would be awesome. Right now its just a black and grey diary - a bit drab. I wish I could at least customize the colour scheme a bit. I give this app 4 stars - dont get me wrong, it does everything it advertises. Its efficient and clean-looking. Its just kinda boring.

I loved this app… until I forgot my password! Given the amount of private information I chose a different password than my usual choices so after not writing for about a month I forgot what it was and there is no way of retrieving or resetting it! I have lost everything that I put in there and have wasted the $6 I paid for the app. A "Forgot Password?" feature would be really fantastic.

No password recovery

Decent app but was rendered useless when I forgot my password. Developer’s website wasn’t available and no support could be found.

It would really ease my anxious heart if a “saving/automatically saved” icon showed up (think Google Docs). Also, to be able to add more than one photo at a time. It doesn’t support when I want to upload a file straight from iPhotos Library or iTunes - it would be a lot more convenient if that were allowed.

Everything is good, but better add an ability to create several journals. Attachements are placed in a separate folder. I suggest that attachements appear right on the list with text. For example: photo, then some music, then some text and finally a video. Its basically an ability to pin anything into a journal.

Thanks to this application, I was able to stop buying journals from Barnes & Noble that remain unfinished. Super convenient with a simple, user friendly and fun interface. Thank you for creating this app. Your support link do not work, so I will ask my question here: I’ve saved my app to an external hard drive. Apple has reset my laptop and so I’ve reinstalled my Diary Application. What file are my entries saved as? and how could I retrieve my entries and resave them to my Diary Application? Thanks.

I love this app and was very upset when I discovered after upgrading to Sierra that I cannot use this app anymore, nor see my past enries. I am definitely upset over this and I hope the makers of this app will be offering a compatible with Sierra version of Diary. Is it too complicated to update Diary in order to make it compatible? Please update soon so I can continue using this app. Thanks 1 Star since I hate it that I can’t use it. 5 Stars once I can use it again.

Bluomni v2.0.3 · 9 years ago

Loved this diary app until I upgraded to MacOS Sierra, now this app is no longer compatible and I can no longer access it. Extremely frustrating, as I cannot access previous entries or creat new ones. When app is useable again I will change my rating back to 5 stars.

I need help, I bought this app and my mac refuses to open it because it’s not the upgraded version of the app. So I went to the app store to upgrade it and after it finished upgrading it still will not open. I even restarted the computer and nothing is happening and it refuses to open. I tried to go to this dudes website and the website cannot be reached. If anyone can help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it.
